The Modern Era of Derby Days
Well, we’re now up to the current “modern” era in 2025 at the 72nd annual Derby Days festival.
This year’s theme was “Liberty & Legends” and we honored our veterans and celebrated America in all her glory.
We made many upgrades in 2024-2025:
The park got a face lift with newly painted tables, we upgraded the flagpole, painted the derby track with a new coat of white paint, we brought in loudspeakers for the parade, and decked the park out in red, white, and blue. All supported by our donors, and all the work done by our volunteers.
The shirts were a big hit this year as well, they looked fantastic and sold out fast.

PS: One thing sure has changed. Now that we all have high quality digital cameras in our pockets, we sure do have a LOT more pictures in the 2020s than we did in the late 80s.
