Derby Days at 70
It’s the year 2023 and Derby Days is celebrating 70 years of family fun and entertainment. Incredible.
We’re now really hitting our stride, with frog jumping, tricycle races, and auctions full of local made products…in addition to the 70 years tradition of derby racing.
A jam packed event schedule at Derby Days 2023 for the 70th anniversary
The brand new flag pole has gone up, after a fallen branch took the last one down in the winter. Looks great and even is lit up at night with solar power. Could the Derby Days attendees have imagined a light pole lit up from electricity from the sun in 1953?
Two Derby Days legends in their element - Bob Landauer and Jim Phillips. Like the original Derby Days chairmen in the 50s, Bob and Jim have been instrumental in keeping Derby Days going throughout the late 20th century in the 21st.
The Derby Days quilt was made from shirts from Derby Days past. Very very cool.
