2003 - The 50th Anniversary of Yamhill Derby Days

We don’t currently have much documentation or pictures of our 50th anniversary. If any locals have a booklet or pictures stashed in a box and you come across them, please reach out to us and we’ll document it here for posterity.

Still, keeping a town’s tradition alive and well for 50 years is an incredible feat!

How many Yamhill residents enjoyed watching the horses go by in the parade or the kids zooming down the derby track in those 50 years?

How many Broncos were eaten? (that’s a hot dog on a stick)

A lot changed in America from 1953 to 2003, but one thing stayed the same. Yamhill, Oregon kept on celebrating our small town and bringing joy and community to our fellow residents every summer.
